What you will be doing Reporting directly to the Senior Manager, Design and Production, this role will be responsible for: Managing and developing a high-performing team by setting work objectives, setting workloads, training, and giving feedback. Leading publication projects, including the planning and delivery of reports, advertising, instructional products, and ballot materials. Applying research in the development and implementation of policies, procedures, and system enhancements relating to the design and delivery of election publications. Overseeing design projects, from conceiving concept proposals through to delivery and implementation. Supporting post-project evaluation and reporting What you will bring to the role Demonstrated people management and creative leadership skills, with the ability to motivate and get the best out of staff. Strong technical design skills and attention to detail, with a focus on editorial design and typography. Demonstrated planning and organisations skills, with experience managing publication projects (desired). Advanced computing skills including experience with Adobe Creative Cloud (including InDesign, Photoshop and Illustrator), and project management tools. Strong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate research and negotiate with both expert and non-expert senior stakeholders. Commitment to the VEC's core values.
