About the role: We’re seeking an experienced HR Generalist for a six-month engagement with a local government organisation. This role is based in Townsville , with occasional travel . You’ll play a hands-on role supporting the People & Capability function, providing practical, day-to-day HR support across a range of activities including: • Running end-to-end recruitment and onboarding processes • Supporting managers with employee relations and performance matters • Drafting HR policies, correspondence, and documentation • Reviewing and improving existing HR processes and procedures • Maintaining accurate records and ensuring compliance About you: • Confident and adaptable with broad generalist HR experience • Comfortable working autonomously and building relationships across teams • Pragmatic and solutions-focused, with a clear understanding of HR best practice • Experience within local government or similar environments will be highly regarded This is a great opportunity to contribute your expertise in a role where your practical HR knowledge will make a real impact.
