POSITION Agriculture / Horticulture Supervisor LOCATION Private Royal Estate - Amman, Jordan (The Client will arrange the work visa and relocation if not local) PURPOSE OF THE POSITION The Agriculture / Horticulture Supervisor will oversee the daily operations, maintenance, and development of the palace's extensive grounds, gardens, and farm. The role is responsible for ensuring that all horticultural areas, ornamental gardens, vegetable plots, and agricultural production zones are maintained to the highest standards of care, productivity, and aesthetic presentation. This includes hands-on supervision of a team, planning seasonal activities, monitoring plant health, and coordinating sustainable practices to ensure an exceptional environment befitting a royal estate. QUALIFICATIONS / SKILLS Diploma or degree in Agriculture, Horticulture, or related field (preferred) Proven experience supervising horticultural or agricultural operations on estates, farms, or large gardens Strong knowledge of soil management, irrigation, pest and disease control, and seasonal planting cycles Experience with greenhouse management, crop rotation, and sustainable cultivation techniques Ability to manage a team, delegate tasks, and provide hands-on training Excellent organizational and planning skills with attention to detail Basic spoken English (Arabic an advantage) EXPERIENCE Minimum 5 years' experience in a similar supervisory role on private estates, agricultural farms, or botanical gardens Experience in both ornamental horticulture and crop/vegetable production highly regarded Proven ability to plan, monitor, and deliver high-standard results within timeframes ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES Supervise daily horticultural and agricultural operations across gardens, lawns, orchards, and vegetable plots Oversee planting schedules, irrigation systems, soil fertility, and pest management programs Ensure all garden areas are maintained to exceptional aesthetic and horticultural standards Manage propagation, pruning, fertilizing, and seasonal planting activities Coordinate and supervise a team of gardeners, farm workers, and grounds staff Liaise with estate management on landscape improvements and production plans Maintain records of planting schedules, fertilizer applications, and crop yields Ensure compliance with environmental and safety standards SALARY & BENEFITS USD $1,000 per month (net of tax) Shared accommodation provided by the employer Paid 30 days' annual leave after 12 months of continuous service 1 return flight home per 2 years of service Health insurance provided Meals provided on duty CANDIDATE PROFILE This role suits a hands-on, knowledgeable horticulture or agriculture professional who enjoys both the science and artistry of land and plant management.
