We are currently partnering with a leading eCommerce business that is seeking a Junior Category Manager to join their growing Home & Appliances team. About the Role This role will suit someone who has gained exposure to category management (as an Assistant Buyer / Category Assistant or Junior Category Manager) and is now ready to take the next step. Reporting to the Head of Home & Appliances, you’ll thrive in a commercially focused environment where you’ll have the autonomy to make a real impact on what customers see and shop for every day. Key Responsibilities Identify and execute commercial opportunities for category expansion, including sourcing and developing new products. Manage and engage suppliers both locally and internationally to strengthen exclusive brand offerings. Oversee day-to-day category operations: promotions, inventory management, logistics, and pricing. Negotiate trading terms and secure competitive pricing to maximise profitability. Partner with internal stakeholders (Marketing, Promotions, Supply Chain) to ensure products are well merchandised and discoverable. Conduct range reviews, monitor category performance, and implement strategies to exceed revenue and profit targets. Forecast, plan, and manage stock levels to achieve KPIs while responding proactively to market conditions. About You Degree qualified in Business, Commerce, Economics, or a related field. Previous experience in category ownership or support within eCommerce, Retail, or FMCG. Strong analytical and commercial skills, with the ability to identify opportunities and make data-led decisions. Excellent negotiation and stakeholder management skills. Comfortable in a fast-paced environment; agile, adaptable, and proactive. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills (VLOOKUPs, pivot tables). Tech-savvy, with the ability to quickly adopt new systems and tools. A genuine interest in Home & Living, Furniture, or Appliances categories is highly regarded.
