They’re looking for a dedicated Mentor to guide and support local Aboriginal apprentices, trainees, and learners in vocational courses as they enter the workforce in manufacturing and related industries. Work closely with employers, training organisations and industry partners Help participants complete their qualifications, succeed at work, and build meaningful careers. Support Aboriginal identity, cultural education and connection to prosperous careers on the NSW Central Coast. Essential Criteria: Understanding of challenges facing Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities and youth Experience working with Aboriginal communities Track record of results in mentoring, employment/training services, recruitment or similar roles Strong relationship-building skills with employers and industry groups Ability to accurately record and report participant progress Able to work independently and as part of a team Current Driver’s Licence Current Working with Children Check (or willingness to obtain) Satisfactory National Police Check (or willingness to obtain) Qualifications and/or experience in Aboriginal Mentoring, Employment, Training, Education or a vocational/trade/industry background Trauma-informed case work experience (highly regarded) If you meet the above requirements and are interested in this opportunity, please submit your resume.
