About You We are currently looking for a National Lift Modernization Installation Manager for our Modernization (MOD) business. You will be responsible for the overall installation efficiency on all NE and MOD products, ensuring quality and safety remain priorities throughout the installation. This will include ensuring that all installation team members, both company and subcontractor, are adequately trained for the installation of the various product lines. This position is critical in developing Modernisation methodologies to address safety, quality, and efficiency requirements, as well as in developing the product champion network. The position is expected to work 50% of the time, implementing and reviewing the Field progress of initiatives. Permanent role Based in our Sydney CBD office Reports to the New Equipment(NE) and Modernization (MOD) Field Director. You key responsibilities Ensure compliance with all Otis policies and practices, ethical standards, OH&S, and industry guidelines. Indirectly manage a team of Field employees and hand over high-quality installations to the Services team. Assist the NE and MOD Field Director in ensuring MOD products are fit for purpose. Work with engineering and logistics to ensure products are fit-for-purpose and delivered on time to sites. Identify gaps and areas of improvement in installation methodologies, update installation manuals/procedures, and policies, and develop required training to ensure installation methodologies are best in class. Refine the installation checklist for installers to ensure that critical installation steps are completed and all quality documentation requirements under the various quality systems are met. Work on setting local hours and local dollars for each branch and by product line for MOD products. Continually refine installation methods to drive a continual improvement culture and define new ways to improve efficiency. Identify process improvement opportunities in the SIP ‘Sales Installation Process’. What you will need to be successful Min 6 years of Modernization experience. Possess relevant trade qualifications and hold a valid Electrician license. Experience in Hoisting and Rigging will be preferred. Good communication, planning, and organisational skills Possess advanced computer skills on various MS platforms, including MS Project. Able to manage issues & resolve conflicts with ease.
