About the role Mater Private Hospital Bundaberg is inviting experienced Registered Nurses who are ready to take the next step in their career to apply for a Clinical Nurse position within our Perioperative Department . This opportunity is offered as a 12-month maximum term contract to cover a maternity leave period. Our Perioperative Department features three operating theatres and one procedure room, where we perform over 4,400 procedures annually. We specialise in a wide range of surgical services including gynaecology, general surgery, orthopaedics, reconstructive plastics, urology, ophthalmology, respiratory procedures, and more. Salary Range: $54.44 - $58.30 hour plus 12% superannuation and access to not-for-profit salary packaging up to $15,900 access to many staff benefits! What you’ll be doing As a Clinical Nurse, you’ll play a key leadership role in delivering high-quality, patient-centred care. You will use your advanced clinical skills and knowledge to support patients, guide nursing teams, and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure best practice and positive health outcomes. You’ll contribute to clinical education, mentor junior staff, and lead by example in maintaining professional standards and improving service delivery. To be successful in this position, you will have: Minimum 5 years’ 5 years perioperative nursing experience. Current AHPRA registration as a Registered Nurse with no practice restrictions Excellent interpersonal, communication and clinical problem-solving skills Demonstrated ability to work independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team Demonstrated commitment to continued quality improvement and best practice principles Why join us?
