Our Rowethorpe Catering facility in Bentley is seeking a dedicated and reliable Commercial Kitchenhand to help keep our kitchen operations running smoothly. This role is perfect for someone who thrives in a busy, team-focused environment, takes pride in cleanliness and food safety, and enjoys supporting chefs and kitchen staff to deliver high-quality meals. The successful candidate must be available to work the following shifts: Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Saturday from 9:15am-14:30pm. Key Responsibilities Maintain the highest standards of kitchen cleanliness, hygiene, and food safety. Wash and sanitize dishes, utensils, and cooking equipment. Assist with basic food preparation such as chopping, peeling, and portioning. Support chefs and kitchen staff during service. Ensure meals are delivered to Juniper sites promptly and efficiently. Operate Juniper cafes, providing friendly food and beverage service. Manage waste disposal and assist with receiving, unpacking, and storing deliveries. Operate and maintain kitchen equipment safely. Work collaboratively with the team to ensure smooth service and great customer experiences. Key Requirements: Current driver’s license (essential)– you’ll be delivering meals to Juniper sites. Previous experience in a commercial kitchen, café, restaurant, catering service, or other hospitality environment. Knowledge of safe food handling and hygiene practices. Ability to work efficiently in a busy, fast-paced environment. Physical ability to meet the demands of the role. Food Safety Handling Certificate (Level 1 or 2) Certificate I or II in Kitchen Operations (or equivalent) Barista experience desirable. First Aid Certificate – desirable.
