Summit Hotel Group Pty Ltd T/A First Basin Cafe Bistro is looking for a qualified and experienced Full-time Cook to join our team. Salary Range – $75,000 - $80,000 Business Location – West Launceston TAS 7250 Responsibilities Inspect ingredients and food to ensure quality. Monitor and control oven, grill, and cooking equipment temperatures. Prepare and cook meals according to menu requirements. Season dishes appropriately during cooking. Portion and plate meals with sauces, gravies, and garnishes. Store food in temperature-controlled areas. Prepare meals for special dietary requirements. Assist with menu planning and estimating food needs when required. Support and train junior kitchen staff or apprentices. Skills and Qualifications AQF Certificate III in Commercial Cookery or equivalent. Relevant experience or on-the-job training. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene standards.
