Executive Support Officer Location: Hobart, Tasmania Work Type: Full-time, 3 month contract Closing Date: 17/10/2025 A unique opportunity is available for a highly organised, diplomatic, and proactive professional to provide high-level executive and administrative support for our client. This is a key role requiring discretion, adaptability, and a strong sense of civic duty. You will be responsible for managing a broad range of engagements, events, and tasks that support the effective and professional operation for our client. Key Responsibilities Coordinate a complex and dynamic calendar of appointments, briefings, site visits, and official engagements. Prepare and distribute meeting materials, correspondence, presentations, and other supporting documents. Liaise with elected representatives and key stakeholders in accordance with formal protocols. Organise and deliver functions and ceremonial events. Manage travel arrangements, including itineraries for domestic and international travel. Maintain stakeholder contact lists, a gifts register, and records of official engagements. Assist with finance-related tasks such as purchase order preparation, invoice processing, and reconciliation. Ensure supplies of stationery, catering and gifts are ordered and maintained. About You You are a motivated and adaptable professional with a strong background in administration and a keen understanding of working in a high-profile, public-facing environment. You thrive under pressure, enjoy balancing multiple priorities, and are comfortable working both independently and collaboratively. Essential Selection Criteria: Certificate IV or Diploma in Business Management, Public Sector Administration or a similar field. Current Driver Licence. Current Registration to Work with Vulnerable People. Demonstrated experience in providing high-quality administrative support across multiple stakeholders. Advanced digital literacy including word processing, spreadsheets, content management systems, and databases. Strong organisational skills with the ability to adapt to changing priorities and meet tight deadlines. Understanding of the operations of local government or a similar political/public environment. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills. Ability to work cooperatively within a team and contribute to a respectful and values-based workplace.
