Workfast is currently seeking an experienced Stores & Purchasing Officer to join our client’s Defence Operations team in Seven Hills. Salary: $90,000 to $110,000 per annum (inclusive of Superannuation) Hours: 7:00am to 3:30pm Location: Seven Hills, NSW You’ll be responsible for sourcing and purchasing goods and services, maintaining accurate inventory control, coordinating deliveries, and ensuring efficient warehouse operations. What you get Competitive salary package ($90,000–$110,000 inclusive of super) Permanent full-time position Monday to Friday role based in Seven Hills, NSW Work with a leading Defence and manufacturing organisation Supportive team culture focused on safety, teamwork, and performance Long-term opportunity with career growth and professional development What you need Minimum 4 years’ experience in a purchasing, stores, or supply chain role Experience in inventory management, procurement, and logistics coordination Proficient with ERP systems (SAP preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite Strong organisational and problem-solving skills with high attention to detail Sound knowledge of Health, Safety, and Environmental (HSE) requirements Valid Forklift Licence (LF) and current Driver’s Licence Certificate III or higher in Warehousing, Supply Chain, Purchasing, or related discipline (desirable) Full Australian working rights Ability to pass a pre-employment Police Check, Drug & Alcohol Test, and Medical Assessment What you will be doing Managing daily stores and warehouse operations including receipting, storage, and dispatch Inspecting incoming goods against purchase orders and resolving discrepancies Maintaining accurate inventory records and performing regular stocktakes Sourcing and purchasing goods and services to meet production and operational requirements Raising purchase orders, monitoring deliveries, and expediting critical items Liaising with suppliers to negotiate pricing, delivery, and quality standards Operating forklifts and handling materials safely and efficiently Generating documentation including NCRs for non-conforming goods Maintaining warehouse organisation, cleanliness, and compliance with safety procedures About us Workfast is a labour-hire company working with some of Australia's largest companies.
