For more information on working with us please visit https://www.humanrights.vic.gov.au/ About the Role The Finance Officer position will play a key role in supporting the financial health and integrity of the Victorian Equal Opportunity and Human Rights Commission (the Commission) by ensuring accurate recording, monitoring and of financial transactions. The Finance Officer role contributes to maintaining financial compliance with internal policies and relevant financial regulations. Reporting to the Manager, Finance, the Finance Officer is responsible for supporting the day-to-day financial management of the Commission by delivering various financial management activities including, accounts receivable, accounts payable, purchase orders and invoice management in accordance with accounting standards and internal policies. About you To be successful in this role, you will have: ; Excellent attention to detail, strong numerical and analytical skills and the ability to process financial data. ; Strong written and verbal communication skills with a collaborative mindset and proactive attitude towards learning. ; Proficient use of Oracle financial systems and other finance and procurement applications. ; Demonstrated experience in the use of the Microsoft suite of applications including Excel and PowerBi. ; Well-developed financial literacy skills and prior experience within the Victorian Public Service would be highly regarded. Qualifications Tertiary qualifications in finance, accounting, business management or in a relevant discipline is mandatory.
