Plant Maintenance Fitter- Visy Glass Job no: 50029635 Work type: Full Time Location: Auckland Work with a committed & supportive team, who are masters of their craft! Free Parking, On Site Gym and Physio. Permanent Full-Time role, working Mon-Fri based in Penrose. The opportunity: As the Plant Maintenance Fitter reporting to the Plant Maintenance Manager, you will work in a full-time permanent role working Monday to Friday 7am to 3.30pm at our Visy Glass, Penrose Site. You will work closely with the production operations team to lead initiatives in reducing plant downtime by conducting preventative mechanical maintenance activities, immediate breakdown repairs, and providing general fixed-plant mechanical maintenance as required throughout the plant. Your main responsibilities will include: Trouble shooting, machine inspections and attending to repairs and breakdowns with a focus to support sheet metal and fabrication work. Carry out routine checks and planned maintenance to preserve efficiency of machines. Attend to job changes and the setup of the inspection machine. Utilize SAP for data collection and analysis of maintenance information. Maintain awareness and commitment to employment and legislative responsibilities in relation to safety, quality and environmental standards. Ad hoc duties as required. What you will bring to the team: Coming with a minimum of 4 years post-trade experience as a Mechanical Fitter, gained from working in an industrial/manufacturing environment, you’ll have an exceptional ability for fault finding and diagnostics, with the ability to work under urgency and pressure while maintaining high standards. You will be a proactive team player, with a good written and communication skills and processes a strong focus on Health, Safety and Environmental practices. Along with the following: Mechanical Trade qualification level 4 or equivalent. Welding and fabrication knowledge. Analytical and problem-solving skills. - You will have good attention to detail and an eye for accuracy. Proven ability to work in a physically demanding and fast paced environment.
