Office Administrator Permanent part-time Reporting to The Principal Starting October 2025 Applications close 3 October 2025, 4pm We are inviting applications for an Office Administrator commencing in October 2025. Be part of our diverse and friendly team of teachers and support staff, where you will be engaged to undertake a range of administrative tasks, facilitating the smooth and efficient daily operation of the office in a busy school environment. This role requires someone with initiative who is highly organised and confident in dealing with students, teachers, and parents. This shared role is a part-time position, working 9am to 5pm, 46 weeks per year, plus 4 weeks of annual leave. PERSONAL AND PROFESSIONAL ATTRIBUTES Be a confident user of technology and proficient in the Microsoft Suite and Google Workspace. Excellent personal relationship skills with parents/carers, colleagues and students. Display interpersonal skills demonstrating the ability to interact, liaise effectively and establish positive working relationships. Manage and prioritise a diverse workload while delivering high-quality work in a busy environment. Highly organised with good time management skills. Excellent attention to detail and high levels of accuracy. Be community-minded, with a willingness to participate in College life. Adaptable, flexible and self-motivated. RESPONSIBILITIES Reception duties: General reception, email and telephone duties including answering calls, taking messages and directing inquiries. Maintain a neat and tidy reception area. Interaction with parents/carers, volunteers, teachers, casual teaching staff, corporate staff and students in a friendly and professional duties. Maintain visitor sign-in and out registers, issue visitor badges. Administrative duties: General office filing and document handling. Update the database and calendar, and advise parents of absences, late and early departures and excursions. Provide general administration support to the Secondary School. Provide administration support to the Leadership Team. Handling incoming and outgoing mail, emails and notices. Support with catering for events. Support with photo organisation. General: Attend compliance sessions as directed by the Principal. Provide First Aid to students and staff and oversee First Aid supplies. ESSENTIAL CRITERIA Working With Children Check. First Aid Course Certificate ‘Course Type: HLTAID012 - Provide First Aid in an education and care setting (1384477)’. If you don’t have this, then for the right candidate we can accommodate for the course to be undertaken ASAP after commencing employment. Demonstrated experience in an administrative role requiring initiative and enthusiasm. Strong organisational skills and the ability to juggle competing priorities, ensuring on-time delivery of all time-critical activities. Multi-tasking and problem solving skills are essential. Demonstrated experience working with databases (working with TASS will be highly regarded). Demonstrated working knowledge of MS Office suite.
