You will be responsible for engaging students with dynamic course material, evaluating their progress through assessments, and providing guidance to those enrolled in selected courses within the Future Technologies cluster. Your active involvement in the college’s ongoing reviews of course content and teaching methods, including innovative online delivery techniques, is crucial for maintaining high educational standards. You will also have the opportunity to collaborate with external organizations, industry groups, and RMIT teaching and administrative staff, enhancing both your professional network and the learning experience for your students. To be successful in this position, you’ll have: Effective interpersonal and communication skills relevant to teaching and consultancy environments. This includes effective presentation and facilitation skills, and in the use of flexible teaching methods. Demonstrated skills and experience in competency-based assessment. Ability in ensuring current and contemporary vocational competence which meets and/or exceeds the education level being delivered and assessed. Experience in relevant industry, and substantial discipline knowledge as it relates to this position. Capacity to diagnose learning problems in students, propose and implement effective solutions. Ability to contribute effectively as a constructive and proactive member of a team. Demonstrated skills in the use of relevant information and communication technologies.
