Permanent-Part time shifts available! Aegis Aged Care have several vacancies for experienced Kitchen Hands, within our beautiful Shoreline Facility. Shoreline is a state-of-the-art Residential Aged Facility situated in a truly unique location, adjacent to the beach and overlooking picturesque Cockburn Sound. The Facility provides resort lifestyle, and quality care and services for up to 238 residents. As a Kitchen Hand you are a valuable member of the team working under the direction and support of the Cook/ Chef Manager. A working day will involve: Preparing resident’s meals according to dietary / care plans in accordance with developed menus. Maintaining a clean working environment in accordance with infection control guidance. Ensuring correct food handling techniques are always observed. You should ideally be an empathetic person who: Enjoys working with the elderly. Can work independently and as part of a team. Is reliable, punctual, and trustworthy. Has availability and flexibility to work a variety of shifts over weekdays and weekends. Has good communication skills and interpersonal skills. You should possess the following: At least 2 years’ experience in a similar role (preferably in Healthcare Industry). Experience in food preparation and cooking for large number of people.
