Reporting to the Finance Manager, this Financial Accountant position plays a key role in delivering timely and accurate financial reports, maintaining effective internal controls, and supporting business improvement initiatives. This is a hands-on role that will suit a technically capable accountant who thrives in a fast-paced, dynamic environment. Key responsibilities include: Month-end journal preparation, revenue recognition, and financial reporting General ledger reconciliations and investigation of variances Preparation of management and performance reports, including sales and profitability analysis Maintenance of fixed asset registers and lease accounting system updates Support statutory audits through preparation of working papers and schedules Assist with tax compliance including GST, payroll tax and income tax returns Oversee accounts payable and receivable functions, ensuring timely collections and payments Prepare monthly bank reconciliations and cash flow reports Support budgeting, forecasting, and variance analysis activities Contribute to process improvement and ensure compliance with internal controls and policies About You! CA/CPA qualified or working towards completion Minimum 3-5 years’ experience in a Financial Accountant or similar role Experience within a product-based sector is preferable but not essential Advanced Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, etc.) Experience with Oracle, SAP, or another large ERP system Strong attention to detail and ability to meet strict deadlines Excellent communication and problem-solving skills Proactive, organised, and able to work autonomously in a fast-paced environment What’s in it for You?
