The WHS Advisor will play a critical role in ensuring workplace health and safety compliance across a diverse community services organisation. This role involves a mix of hands-on safety activities, along with assisting with the implementation of broader safety and risk management systems and practices. Description Develop, implement, and maintain WHS policies and procedures in line with legislative requirements. Conduct risk assessments and ensure effective risk management strategies are in place. Deliver WHS training and provide guidance to staff and management. Monitor and report on compliance with WHS regulations and internal policies. Investigate incidents and recommend preventive measures to minimise risks. Collaborate with stakeholders to promote a culture of safety and continuous improvement. Maintain accurate records of WHS activities, incidents, and corrective actions. Provide expert advice on workplace health and safety matters to management and staff. Profile A successful WHS Advisor should have: Formal qualifications in WHS Strong knowledge of WHS legislation and industry standards in Australia. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with diverse stakeholders. Proficiency in assessing risks and developing effective mitigation strategies. Ability to lead WHS training sessions and promote safety awareness. Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to investigate incidents effectively.
