What you will do as a Cabinet Maker and Joinery Technician As a Cabinet Maker and Joinery Technician, you will: Manufacture bespoke joinery components from plans and shop drawings Run CNC woodworking machinery and complete accurate panel saw work Carry out on site installation to a premium standard Use hand and power tools safely to achieve tight tolerances Work as part of a small team and coordinate with other trades Own quality checks from first cut through to final fit Contribute to continuous improvement across the Melbourne workshop What you will bring as a Cabinet Maker and Joinery Technician To succeed as a Cabinet Maker and Joinery Technician, you will bring: Proven cabinet making or joinery experience with CNC operation Strong ability to read and interpret builders plans and shop drawings Solid bench skills, assembly, edging, hardware fitting and finishing Reliable communication, teamwork and the ability to work unsupervised Experience supervising apprentices or mentoring juniors A high safety standard in the workplace and sound computer literacy Valid Australian work rights Tools and tech for a Cabinet Maker and Joinery Technician The Cabinet Maker and Joinery Technician will work with: CNC router and nesting workflows for precision panel processing Panel saws, edgebanders, drills and jigs for efficient throughput CAD or CAM files supplied by designers or prepared in house Quality control tools for measurement and verification Safe dust extraction and workshop procedures Benefits of being a Cabinet Maker and Joinery Technician Joining as a Cabinet Maker and Joinery Technician offers: Full time hours Monday to Friday, 7.00am to 3.30pm, with overtime available Competitive pay guide $38 to $45 per hour, paid according to experience Exposure to premium residential joinery rather than mass production Skill growth across CNC, installation and detailed finishing Small team culture with quick decisions and clear project ownership Pathways to lead small crews and supervise apprentices
