We specialise in authentic Japanese ramen and seasonal dishes, attracting a loyal customer base that values both quality and consistency. About the Role We are looking for a skilled and experienced Cook who can contribute to our high-volume kitchen operations while maintaining the highest standards of quality. The role involves preparing and cooking a wide variety of Japanese dishes, with a particular focus on ramen, ensuring efficiency, precision, and exceptional customer satisfaction. Key Responsibilities Prepare and cook ramen and other Japanese dishes, ensuring authentic flavours and consistency. Examine and select ingredients to maintain strict quality standards. Regulate cooking temperatures and timings for broths, noodles, and toppings. Portion and present dishes attractively with garnishes, sauces, and accompaniments. Adapt dishes to meet special dietary requirements and customer preferences. Ensure proper storage of food in temperature-controlled environments. Train and mentor junior kitchen staff to maintain high kitchen standards. Assist with menu planning and estimating food requirements. Maintain hygiene, safety, and cleanliness standards at all times. Skills & Experience Required Proven experience in cooking Japanese cuisine, with particular expertise in ramen preparation. Strong ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast-paced, high-volume environment. Precision in timing and temperature control for noodles, broths, and toppings. Demonstrated ability to customise dishes to suit different textures and flavours. Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen operations. Ability to train and guide junior cooks and kitchen assistants. Team-oriented mindset with excellent communication and coordination skills.
