Bring your passion for mechanics and driven attitude towards learning and upskilling as a Trade Assistant to assist on repairs and preventive maintenance of ground support equipment. As a Trade Assistant at TCR, you will: Support qualified mechanics with repairs and servicing of vehicles and equipment. Perform basic welding tasks with attention to quality and safety. Previous experience with Basic Mechanics & Vehicle Servicing. Assist with rolling stock maintenance and repair. Handle spare parts: receiving, stocking, pickup, and delivery. Pack and issue freight deliveries. Maintain workshop and yard cleanliness and equipment upkeep. Support store duties and general workshop tasks. Promote a safety-first culture. Work with a wide range of specialized Ground Support Equipment (GSE). To be successful in this role, you will have most of the following skills and experience: Demonstrated mechanical aptitude and the ability to learn and develop. Welding experience - highly regarded. Previous mechanical experience – desirable. Manual “C” class driver’s license (required). MR license and forklift certificate – desirable. A strong focus on safety standards and relevant company policies & procedures. Good communication skills and proactiveness. A positive attitude and proactive mindset, with the ability to work autonomously as well as being a good team player. → Pre-employment police and medical checks are mandatory for this position.
