Friends Child Care is a community based, 39 place, not- for-profit Childcare Centre located on the grounds of St Vincent’s Private Hospital, operating under the auspices of the Roman Catholic Church Diocese of Lismore. Our centre provides an exceptional early childhood program for children aged 6 months to school aged in a beautiful homelike environment. Our centre is rated as meeting all areas in the National Quality Standards Assessment. A vacancy exists for a Director for Friends Childcare Centre. The successful applicant will be expected to provide the highest quality care and education to our children, lead a team of childcare Educators and manage the daily operations of our 39 place centre. The Child Care Director acts as the educational leader of the centre and works within the mission and values of the St Vincent’s Hospital campus. To be successful, applicants will need to possess the following: Diploma of Early Childhood Education and Care or Bachelor of Teaching/Early Childhood A minimum of twelve months experience as a Director and Educational Leader of a Child Care Centre in a service with 25 places or above High level of understanding of the National Quality Framework, National Quality Standards Early Years Learning Framework and the National Law and Regulations Commitment to the Early Childhood Australia Code of Ethics (2016) Proven interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to work within a multidisciplinary team so as to motivate and lead people The successful candidate must have or be able to obtain prior to commencement: Current First Aid Qualification specific for early childhood settings (HLTAID012/HLTAID004); Child Protection Training (CHCPRT025 or equivalent); NSW Working with Children Check clearance.
