Do you want to be part of a team that is serving the local church and community? Our Campus Support Team is currently looking for a Campus Pastor to start and lead our Greater West Sydney location. This role is responsible for providing spiritual leadership, pastoral oversight, and operational direction to staff, volunteers, and the wider congregation. This role will work closely with the Head of Campus Support as well as other Central Support teams to ensure that the vision of building a healthy church that changes lives through Christ is actively outworked in every aspect of campus life. Other aspects of this role include: Strategic Direction & Campus Leadership Lead the campus in alignment with the church’s overall vision, mission, and strategic goals. Oversee the smooth and effective day-to-day functioning of the campus, ensuring excellence across services, events, ministries, and facilities. Develop and implement long-term strategies for campus health, congregational growth, and local impact. Ensure all ministries and departments at the campus are integrated, healthy, and aligned with the church’s values. Provide spiritual oversight and biblical leadership to the congregation, cultivating a strong culture of discipleship, prayer, and worship. Oversee and support the implementation of church-wide discipleship pathways, including new christians, baptisms, connect groups, and leadership development. Pastoral Care & Support Actively engage with the pastoral needs of the congregation through prayer and practical support. Identify and respond to pastoral care needs, facilitating appropriate help and referrals where necessary, including collaboration with CityCare and local welfare agencies. Provide or coordinate pastoral care in areas such as marriage preparation, grief and trauma support, hospital visitation, and funerals. Team & Staff Development Lead, develop, and care for campus staff and key ministry leaders, fostering a healthy and high-performing team culture. Recruit, train, and empower volunteer leaders across ministries to effectively carry out their roles. Set clear goals, provide regular feedback, and complete performance reviews and development plans with team members. Operations & Administration Ensure campus operations are efficient and aligned with PCO, policies & Safe Church requirements Steward campus finances in line with approved budgets, ensuring healthy engagement with tithes, offerings, and Hillsong Foundation initiatives. Maintain effective communication with central departments and ensure administrative processes (e.g. reporting, planning, events) are well-managed. Community Engagement & Social Impact Lead the campus in meaningful local outreach and community engagement initiatives. Identify and respond to social needs within the community, partnering with external organisations where appropriate. Champion the church’s mission to be a light to the city, building bridges of compassion and service to the broader community. Ideally, the successful candidate will bring: Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Theology, Ministry, Divinity, or a related field desirable. Proven experience in pastoral leadership Demonstrated ability to lead and develop volunteer teams and staff, including coaching, feedback, and pastoral care Strong biblical knowledge and ability to teach and apply scripture Strong leadership and team development skills, with the ability to empower staff and volunteers Excellent pastoral care and interpersonal skills, including empathy and conflict resolution Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities, events, and pastoral responsibilities Collaborative and adaptable, able to work across teams and respond to the needs of a dynamic church environment If that sounds like you, we would love for you to apply today!
