Job Description The Senior Lecturer in Clinical Education is expected to make significant contributions to the teaching effort of the School of Medicine and Dentistry and play a major role in scholarship, research and/or professional activities. The Senior Lecturer is expected to make independent and original contributions to research which have significant impact on the field of expertise. This position offers a unique opportunity for a clinically qualified academic to establish a career in medical education. The role forms part of an academic team that oversees the learning and assessment of medical students and contributes to delivery of relevant aspects of the curriculum in the Doctor of Medicine (MD) program, which encompasses clinical anatomy and clinical pathology contextualised to the practice of medicine, and including laboratory experiences and medical imaging. This position aims to ensure and verify that students in the MD acquire the understanding and skills related to anatomy and pathology required of an Australian medical graduate. It also contributes to curriculum development, delivery and assessment relevant to their area of expertise. This is a full-time continuing position based at the Sunshine Coast site, where the Doctor of Medicine is delivered at the Sunshine Coast Health Institute and the Sunshine Coast University Hospital. As Griffith is a multi-campus University you may be required to work across other campus locations. Griffith University’s campuses are located on the lands of the Yugarabul, Yuggera, Jagera, Turrbal, Yugambeh and Kombumerri peoples. The Sunshine Coast site is located on the land of the Kabi Kabi and Jinibara peoples. Salary Range The full time equivalent base salary will be Academic Senior Lecturer (Level C) range $138,702 - $159,936 per annum 17% superannuation. The total FTE package will be in the range $162,281 - $187,125 per annum.
