Utilize your switchboard drafting and design capabilities in a role working for a national, well established electrical company who build custom switchboards valued for their quality and reliability, for a range of key clients. About the role: The Design/Drafter role is responsible for taking electrical switchboard specifications through a design process to produce a set of documents from which the required product can be manufactured. The applicant will be a self-motivated individual with excellent attention to detail and an ability to work in a team environment to support the continued growth in the Switchboard manufacturing sector. Your responsibilities will include: Detail design and drafting of low voltage switchboard assemblies Generation of accurate bill of materials Drawing revisions and document control Liaise with key stakeholders - clients, estimators, project management, workshop personnel, and suppliers Review design processes to identify opportunities for innovation and improvement Generation of Operation and Maintenance Manuals Skills and experience required to be successful in this role: Demonstrated proficiency using AutoCAD products Experience with AutoDesk Inventor 3D highly desirable A background in switchboard manufacture and / or sheet metal manufacture would be highly regarded Electrical trade or Engineering qualification highly regarded Knowledge of relevant statutes, legislation and applicable Australian Standards including AS 61439 Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite Well-developed collaborative working style Must have a good attitude to safety and comply with all Company safety requirements.
