Our client currently has an exciting new opportunity for a Technoloy Fa cilities Technician to join their Technology team. This will be located in the Western Suburbs, Melbourne, initially a 6-month contract, with likely extensions for the right candidate and is a hybrid role where 3 dpw you will be required to be in their office . Please note, to apply applicants must have the following: The requisite skills and experience defined below, At least Australian Permanent Residence working rights, At least 3 year's relevant local working experience as a Technology Facilities Technician Key responsibilities include, but not limited to: Facilities Management - Represent and present Changes at Technology Change Board meetings for Technology Facilities. Ensures proper functioning of facilities through ongoing inspection and maintenance. Maintains critical infrastructure (CRAC, UPS, Generators). Manage, controls and liaises with 3rd party technicians (electricians, cablers, fitters). Works closely with server and networking teams. Manage external partners for delivery. Executes equipment audits and record-taking policies. Troubleshoot any cabling issues causing performance issues for any internal/external stakeholders or customers. Maintain Cormant-CS cabling inventory DB. Review and maintain the DCE StruxureWare monitoring system for Comms room alerts and trends. Ability to provide on-call and onsite support after hours. Strategic Planning - Assess and evaluate the physical space requirements, develop long-term facilities plans based on company growth and future facility needs. Work with external partners to assist with planning and gaining an understanding of best practice and emerging technologies. Advise on ways to improve environmental, health and safety within the physical locations. Advisory - Provide guidance and technical advice to new infrastructure projects. Contributes to standard operating procedures and standards. Set project timeframes and priorities based on project objectives and ongoing assignments. Manage the outsourced technology facilities contracts. Design and develop organizational policies relevant to the technology facilities department. Approve and arrange site inductions and access. The successful candidate will have: At least 3 years' experience in a facilities technician position. Experience with facilities integrated work management systems (space planning, lease modules, work order management, project management). Experience in solving operational issues and develop preventative measures. Proven quality and process improvement skills. Experience in engaging internal delivery teams, external vendors and delivery partners for expected APAC outcome. Notes: Only shortlisted candidates will be contacted.
