Responsibilities and Tasks: Interpret and work from blueprints, drawings, and specifications to determine materials required and dimensions of structure or fixture to be fabricated. Cut, shape, and assemble timber and other materials to construct frameworks for buildings. Install structures and fixtures, such as windows, frames, floorings, and trim, using hand and power tools. Examine structures and materials for defects and ensure compliance with building codes and regulations. Collaborate with construction teams and supervisors to meet project deadlines and specifications. Operate a variety of carpentry tools and machinery in a safe and efficient manner. Measure, mark, and arrange materials following layout designs. Repair existing frameworks and structures, replacing damaged or deteriorated components.
