️ Job Title: Aboriginal Identified Social Care Worker Location: Multiple locations across NSW Employment Type: Full-Time / Part-Time / Fixed-Term / Casual Salary: Based on experience and qualifications About the Role We are currently seeking a passionate and community-minded Aboriginal Identified Social Care Worker to join our team and support our ongoing commitment to culturally safe, person-centred care. The position plays a vital role in building trust and connection with Aboriginal communities, advocating for individuals, and contributing to improved wellbeing outcomes. Key Responsibilities Provide culturally safe, holistic social care and support services to Aboriginal individuals, families, and communities. Advocate for clients and help navigate health, housing, family support, and social service systems. Collaborate with Elders, local community organisations, and service providers to ensure responsive care. Contribute to community outreach, engagement activities, and cultural events. Maintain accurate case notes, risk assessments, and support plans in line with organisational policies. About You To be successful in this role, you will have: Identify as an Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander person (essential). Understanding of the issues affecting Aboriginal communities and a commitment to self-determination and cultural safety. Strong interpersonal and communication skills with the ability to engage effectively with clients and stakeholders. Experience or interest in social care, community work, case management, or a related field. Ability to work both independently and as part of a multidisciplinary team.
