It is responsible for maintaining local roads, parks, and infrastructure, providing community services and facilities, managing waste, water, and sewerage services, Planning and development approvals and protecting the local environment and supporting tourism The council serves towns like Innisfail, Tully, and Mission Beach, focusing on sustainable regional development and community wellbeing.
