Under the supervision of Occupational Therapists, you’ll assist with therapy activities such as self-care retraining, mobility exercises, and patient education. You’ll also help with home assessments, equipment delivery, and maintaining treatment spaces and resources. The role includes direct patient interaction, accurate clinical documentation, and collaboration with other health professionals to ensure high-quality care. You’ll contribute to departmental planning, student education, and continuous improvement, while adhering to NBMLHD policies and safety practices. What you will bring to the role Certificate III or IV in Allied Health assistance [or willingness to undertake training] with relevant patient care experience. Demonstrated effective verbal and written communication skills. Demonstrated experience and skills in manual handling of patients and equipment. Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team. Demonstrated ability to prioritise, meet deadlines and organise workload. Demonstrated ability to independently undertake tasks once delegated and operate with minimal direct supervision. Computer literacy, with the ability to use Office, email and electronic patient record systems.
