As a Part-Time Commis Chef at Robata, you’ll be part of a dynamic team, working in a fast-paced kitchen environment where you’ll have the opportunity to develop your skills and learn new techniques. Your day-to-day will involve: Supporting the kitchen team with food preparation and production Maintaining quality and consistency across all dishes Following food safety and hygiene standards at all times Assisting in keeping the kitchen clean, organised, and efficient Learning and developing new culinary techniques and skills Working effectively as part of a fast-paced team Think you've got what it takes? Our ideal candidate will have: Full working rights - Citizen or PR preferred, otherwise 2 years left on temporary visa Availability for a minimum of 20 hours per week At least 12 months of Commis Chef experience in a commercial kitchen Experience with grilling techniques, especially using charcoal or wood, is a bonus; as is experience with Japanese cuisine. Qualifications relevant to the role - i.e. Cert IV or III in Commercial Cookery Strong time management and organisational skills Professional and appropriate interpersonal communication An unwavering passion for food The ability to work under pressure and keep up on a section Above all, a genuine desire to learn and grow in the industry is key.
