About the Company: Our client, a major Australian private investment firm, manages a diverse and extensive portfolio of commercial, residential, hospitality, tourism, and industrial assets. Every asset in the portfolio has a strong emphasis on delivering iconic places. They are currently looking for a Client-Side Design Manager to join the team. Key Responsibilities: Oversee the entire design process from initial concept to final construction, manage design programmes ensuring timely delivery. Lead multidisciplinary design teams & manage all key stakeholders (builders, architects, engineers, subcontractors etc.). Ensure all designs meet project requirements, building codes, and industry standards. Proactively identify & mitigate design-related risks E.g. Clashes, budget issues, and programming. Lead value engineering reviews to optimise cost and efficiency without compromising quality or brand standards. Champion sustainability initiatives. Key Requirements: Tertiary qualifications in Construction Management, Architecture or Engineering. Proven experience working as a Design Manager in commercial construction including working with ECI’s (early contractor involvement). Background working on hotels, hospitality or retail projects is preferable. We're looking for someone with a strong technical understanding of design management who can identify cost-saving solutions whilst maintaining quality, design intent and sustainability. Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills are crucial. Strong problem solving & organisational skills.
