Department: Core - FinanceLocation: Sydney, Australia Description The APAC Finance Business Partner will act as a strategic advisor to the business, providing financial insight and commercial support to regional leadership teams. The role is responsible for driving performance, enabling informed decision-making, and ensuring alignment between financial objectives and business goals. The successful candidate will combine strong analytical skills with the ability to influence, challenge, and partner with non-finance stakeholders. Key Responsibilities Business PartneringServe as the primary finance contact for regional management teams, providing insights, analysis, and recommendations to support strategic and operational decisionsBuild strong relationships with commercial, operations, and functional leaders to drive business performancePartner with the APAC Financial Controller to align regional finance priorities and ensure accurate, timely reportingPartner with APAC leads on monthly reporting and headcount tracking (A vs. B)Financial Planning & AnalysisLead and support the preparation of regional budgets, forecasts, and long-term plansProvide local on-the-ground support for budgeting and forecasting cyclesDeliver monthly headcount performance reviews, variance analysis, and actionable insightsConduct ad-hoc analysis as required by market leads to support business decisionsReporting & Performance ManagementOwn regional financial reporting, ensuring accuracy, timeliness, and clarityDevelop and track KPIs to measure business performance and prepare the APAC regional performance reportSupport preparation of presentations for senior leadership and board reviewsDecision SupportProvide financial modelling and scenario analysis to support investment decisions, pricing strategies, and new initiativesAssess business cases and capital expenditure proposals to ensure value creationGovernance & ComplianceEnsure financial controls, policies, and processes are adhered to across the regionPartner with central finance teams to ensure alignment with corporate standards What we are looking for Required attributes:Qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA, CIMA, or equivalent) with strong post-qualification experienceProven experience in a finance business partnering, FP&A, or commercial finance roleStrong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate data into meaningful insightExcellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadersCommercially astute, with a track record of driving business performance and supporting growth initiativesComfortable working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with multiple prioritiesAdvanced Excel and financial modelling skills; experience with ERP/BI systems desirable What we offer Private healthcareAccess to the Aurora Academy, our training programme offering a range of opportunities to develop your skillsAccess to our Employee Assistance Programme (EAP), offering a complete support network that offers expert advice and compassionate guidance 24/7/365, covering a wide range of personal and professional aspectsThe Company is committed to the principle that no employee or job applicant shall receive unfavourable treatment on grounds of age, disability, gender reassignment, race, religion or belief, sex, sexual orientation, marriage and civil partnership and pregnancy and maternity/paternity.
