The Kingaroy Medicare Mental Health Centre (MMHC), funded by the Darling Downs and West Morton PHN, is set to be established and operational in late 2023. This centre will offer inclusive, low-stigma access points for service engagement, providing assessment, triage, warm referrals, and immediate short- or medium-term support. These services cater to individuals seeking mental health support at various levels, including those in crisis or facing significant distress. The opportunity: Applications are now open for a key leadership position at the established Medicare Mental Health Centre service in Kingaroy as the Clinical Lead. You’ll be joining a collaborative team, in a professional and positive environment. As the Clinical Lead, your pivotal role involves providing leadership to the team, ensuring the smooth execution of daily clinical operations. Beyond day-to-day responsibilities, you will actively contribute to the development of innovative and evidence-based services, emphasising the delivery of top-tier mental health services. Your duties extend to offering ongoing clinical support and guidance to the team, ensuring adequate supervision for all staff. Engaging in regular clinical and caseload reviews, you will proactively manage referrals and address service demands. During periods of heightened demand, you may also take on a direct caseload, ensuring seamless service provision. About you: · Possess a formal tertiary qualification as a Registered Psychologist, Occupational Therapist, Registered Nurse, or Accredited Mental Health Social Worker. · Hold a current annual practicing certificate from the Australian Health Practitioner Regulation Agency, or eligibility for registration with the Australian Association of Social Workers. · Demonstrate excellence in health service delivery. · Have experience working in cross-cultural settings, especially with First Nations People and priority populations. · Demonstrate experience in working in a trauma-informed and recovery-oriented service, particularly with individuals experiencing complexity.
