The Role We are seeking motivated Orchard Assistants to join a busy orchard in Hillston, NSW. This role is ideal for candidates with previous farming or machinery experience who enjoy outdoor, physical work and contributing to a productive team environment. The orchard offers a mix of tasks, from hands-on fieldwork to machinery operation, with a strong focus on safety, quality, and orchard hygiene. Key Responsibilities As an Orchard Assistant, you will play an important role in supporting orchard operations and ensuring crop health. Your duties will include: Checking young trees and supporting orchard activities Driving mules, ATVs, tractors, and the florry Carrying out general farm duties and orchard hygiene tasks, including weed removal, spraying, and branch removal Pruning trees to enhance future yield and improve access to light and sprays Identifying and reporting distressed trees, pests, and disease issues Working flexibly across day and night shifts depending on weather and operational needs Benefits $32.03 per hour plus penalty rates Approx. 3 months with potential for ongoing employment 38 hours per week , with varied shifts across up to 6 days Gain valuable orchard and machinery experience Work in a supportive team focused on quality and safety Your Skills & Experience To be successful in this role, you will need: A valid Chem Certificate Tractor driving experience Ability to read and follow farm maps Reliability, flexibility, and willingness to work varied hours including nights A clear commitment to workplace health, safety, and quality systems Choose Agri Labour Australia Agri Labour Australia is an award-winning Australian company with clients in every State and Territory.
