About the Role We are offering 3 fixed-term, full-time opportunities for Accounts Payable Officers to join the CFA team. Reporting to the Financial Operations Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for a variety of accounts payable tasks. In this role, you will provide valuable guidance and advice while contributing to the effective financial management of the CFA. Key responsibilities of the role will include the following: Financial transaction guidance: Provide advice and customer service on transaction accuracy and ensure compliance with CFA policies for processing invoices (purchase orders, vendor, and Fire Equipment Maintenance). Vendor payments: Process EFT payments and ensure vendor master data updates align with CFA procedures. Expense review: Validate Volunteer, Employee and Corporate Card expenses monthly, identifying discrepancies Discrepancy reporting: Prepare reports on financial discrepancies and escalate to the Manager, Financial Operations. Expenditure approval: Ensure all spending complies with CFA's financial delegations and policies. Policy and system support: Provide guidance on financial transactions, offer training on CFA financial systems and stay current with policy and system changes. Stakeholder relations: Build strong internal and external relationships, responding promptly to stakeholders. Documentation and reporting: Maintain accurate records and prepare detailed reconciliations for accounts (e.g., Fire Equipment Maintenance, petty cash) at month-end. Incident finance compliance: Ensuring adherence to CFA accounts payable processes at all times. About You Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate the following: SAP S/4HANA knowledge and experience Sound knowledge and substantial experience in Finance, Creditors or Accounts Payable including Corporate Purchase Card expense management Ability to work with minimal supervision and as a member of a diverse team Well-developed organisational skills and demonstrated ability to set priorities and meet tight work demands Ability to build working relationships and liaise with internal and external stakeholders A high level of accuracy and attention to detail with a customer focus and strong commitment to process improvement Identify opportunities for continuous improvement and best practice solutions to strengthen internal controls around the accounts payable function.
