Venus Automation is looking for their next cohort of talented engineering interns. The opportunity is geared towards a university student with an electrical/mechatronics/mechanical engineering background. Students studying in junction with computer science are sought too. This opportunity is UNPAID - however interns do receive a weekly transport allowance. Candidates will be committing to minimum 4-6 months. No remote or hybrid work options. Offices are in Lane Cove, Sydney, NSW. Internship begins September 2025. Venus Automation is a small business and thus the internship offers a wide array of work experience to the candidate. Interns will gain an in-depth understanding of machine safety automation & design, programming plc, safety and connectivity products. Interns will work hand in hand with internal engineering and operational teams. This will give them extensive experience in: - Electrical designing and wiring.- Website development.- Machine Safety report writing.- Customer fulfilment. We are a nimble and small business. The ideal candidate will be highly motivated, creative and have strong attention to detail. This internship affords candidates the chance to have an actual impact on business, as well as the opportunity to implement their own ideas and strategies. Student placement:Frequency and work hours will be negotiated with the right candidate. This will suit students seeking part-time casual student placement (3-4 days/week) in a highly skilled technical company.
