About the role: Reporting to the Estimating Lead, the Estimator will be responsible for providing accurate costing of projects based on project designs/plans and in accordance with project briefs. They will play a key role in the design & construction process. The Estimator will also have strong civil acumen and CostX experience. We are looking for strong communication skills and someone who thrives in a team environment. The key responsibilities of the role are to: Review and interpret in-depth tender documentation to accurately price building and civil installation packages. Ensure accurate costing of projects based on project design/plans, incorporating detailed bills of quantities and an analysis of risks and opportunities requiring further evaluation prior to final submission. Undertake first principles estimating. Prepare detailed scopes of works for clients and subcontractors. Interpret architectural and engineering drawings and specifications and prepare bills of quantities. Liaise competently with the relevant project stakeholders (internally and externally - including architects, engineers, builders, contractors, project managers, suppliers, and clients) to clarify project requirements and source information. About You The ideal candidate will be someone who has an eye for the details, they will have a strong ability to build both internal and external relationships and fantastic communication skills. We are looking for someone who is looking to develop their career and is excited by the opportunity to work with one of the leaders in modular construction. To be successful in this role you will demonstrate: 5 years’ experience in a similar position, preferably in the construction, civil or modular construction industry. Strong local industry experience (manufacturing, construction or building industries) and market understanding. Sound knowledge of Building Codes of Australia. Familiarity of CostX or similar estimating software packages Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite Strong attention to detail Strong verbal & written and communication skills. An ability to multitask, plan and prioritise workloads to meet deadlines. Ability to work independently and as part of a team with excellent time management skills. Why work for Fleetwood?
