Overview General Manager – Queensland & Northern Territory. Based in Brisbane with a hybrid work model (approximately two days per week visiting centres; remaining days flexible from home or the office). Travel to the Northern Territory and regional Queensland is likely every 4–6 weeks, with travel costs covered by the company. The package includes a generous car allowance. About The Role We are seeking an inspirational and strategic General Manager to lead operations for our Queensland and Northern Territory network of Early Learning centres. Reporting to the Head of Centre Quality, you will lead, manage and mentor a team of Performance Managers to drive operational excellence, centre performance and child safeguarding practices across the state and territory. What will you be doing? Lead, coach, and develop a team of Qld/NT Performance Managers. Translate strategy into action, ensuring alignment with KPIs and quality outcomes. Drive centre performance across occupancy, staffing efficiency, budget, and compliance. Embed consistent systems and platforms (CCMS, Line Leader, Monday.com, 1place, Story Park). Champion safeguarding and child safety practices in collaboration with our Safeguarding Team. Work collaboratively across People, Pedagogy, Finance, and Operations to lift centre performance holistically. Support new centre openings and quality embedding pre- and post-90 days. Be regularly present in centres, mentoring and inspiring Centre Leadership Teams. About You Experienced senior leader with a deep and credible history in early childhood education who can realise a strategic vision through collaboration. Previous experience in a similar role within Early Childhood Education (10 years preferred). Inspirational leader with strong multi-site operational experience. Deep understanding of the National Quality Framework and safeguarding requirements. Proven track record of coaching and developing high-performing leaders. Financially astute with strong planning, reporting, and performance tracking skills. Tech-savvy with platforms such as Qikkids, Monday.com, and CRM/HRIS tools.
