Report to the Board and drive governance, stakeholder engagement, and financial stewardship to meet statutory and strategic objectives. The Position and Organisation Context In September 2024 the Victorian Institute of Forensic Medicine Act 2024 was enacted. This Act strengthens governance arrangements, engagement with stakeholders, and embeds training and research as core VIFM functions. The VIFM serves the community and the courts by providing independent forensic pathology, medical and scientific expertise to underpin safe convictions and appropriate acquittals. The VIFM is a statutory agency within the Victorian Government’s Justice Portfolio and also houses the Donor Tissue Bank of Victoria (DTBV). Qualifications and Experience Values-driven leadership with accomplishment in leading complex, purpose-driven organisations. Executive experience working with a Board; strategic acumen and strong financial and governance capability. Ability to lead through change and manage risk, compliance, and governance. Exceptional communication, stakeholder engagement, and team leadership skills. Commitment to fostering an inclusive, high-performing culture.
