Overview The Richmond Football Club, one of Australia’s most successful and iconic sporting organisations, is seeking an accomplished Chief Financial Officer to lead its enterprise-wide financial strategy and finance related operations. With total revenues exceeding $100 million and a workforce of more than 300 employees and over 2000 casual staff, Richmond continues to strengthen its financial and operational foundations while pursuing bold growth objectives. The Club’s next CFO will play a pivotal role in delivering this vision through disciplined five-year planning, driving proactive cash and capital management, and enabling strategic investment across its Football, Consumer, Community and Commercial operations. Responsibilities Be a commercial and strategic partner to the CEO and inspirational leader for the team. Lead the Club’s banking transition project and oversee associated debt facilities and covenant reporting. Govern funding and capital programs, including the Punt Road Oval redevelopment and establishment of the Jack Dyer stand. Strengthen systems utilisation across Dynamics 365 , and other finance platforms delivering data-driven insight and efficiency. Build financial literacy and partner with leaders to diversify and grow revenue streams. Lead a capable and engaged finance team, embedding strong governance, performance reporting and internal controls. Qualifications / Experience The ideal candidate will be a strategic, commercially astute CFO with proven success from sport, entertainment, consumer, services, hospitality, or infrastructure sectors , or from other complex, multi-entity organisations where financial leadership, strategic investment and stakeholder engagement intersect.
