Our client is a very progressive Federal Government Agency The Senior Systems Engineer is a newly created role working as part of a small team based in Sydney (can also be based in Melbourne or Canberra) providing both project and BAU support. The key responsibilities will entail: BAU and project work - Microsoft Infrastructure, on-prem and Azure Cloud Microsoft SCCM/ Intune/ Endpoint Manager Deploying IaC using Azure Bicep Administer Citrix Virtual apps and desktops or updating Citrix and VMware VDI images Automation through PowerShell Docker container admin and deployment Microsoft 365 Defender (Advanced Threat Protection) administration Implementing security controls (PSPF, ISM, NIST) Utilise Jira for issue tracking and project management Your background will include: Experience supporting Windows server /desktop environments Microsoft Endpoint Manger (SCCM/Intune) Application packaging DHCP, AD, DNS, Group Policy, VMWare Microsoft 365 Defender/ Advanced Threat Protection (desirable) Knowledge of deployment of Infrastructure as a Code (IaC) using Bicep Experience in Docker containerisation This will be an initial contract to the end of June 2026 with likely extension and will be an EL1 equivalent Applications will close on Thursday 02 October and in order to be considered you need to be an Australian Citizen with eligibility for Baseline clearance Please email your CV to Silvia at Balance Consulting BCS is an equal opportunity employer who is committed to diversity and inclusion in the workplace, and applicants from all parts of the community are encouraged to apply for this role.
