Jerrabomberra Medical Centre is currently seeking an experienced, enthusiastic and motivated Practice Manager for a permanent Full-time Position (Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week) . Jerrabomberra Medical Centre forms part of Partnered Health Medical Centres, one of Australia's leading primary healthcare providers with 60 clinics located throughout metropolitan and regional centres, comprising 56 medical centres and 4 dedicated skin clinics. What the job involves: High management responsibilities of a large, busy practice Manage relationships with key stakeholders Achieving government grant criteria Assistance with marketing and public relations Doctor on-boarding Management of administration and nursing staff Reception staff training and development Finance responsibilities including Medicare batching, private billing, debtor collection and banking Manage key expense lines to budget Implementation of new programs Reporting to the State Manager and Operations Manager Current knowledge of current Accreditation Standards (preferred) What we need from you: Previous experience as a Practice Manager (essential) Previous experience managing budgets, profit and loss statements (preferred) Knowledge of Medicare item numbers (preferred) Understanding of medical terminology Exceptional customer service and teamwork skills Commitment to ethical behaviour and conduct Excellent verbal and written communication skills Ability to empathise with patients Completion of relevant formal qualifications Intermediate to advanced working knowledge of Microsoft office suite and Microsoft Excel Must have a passion for working with people and have a personable disposition Previous experience in completing fortnightly rosters (preferred) Company funded pre-employment medical What we offer: A healthy work-life balance - no weekend work!
