Due to recent project wins in Sydney, our client (a market leader in the commercial interiors space) are seeking a go getting/commercially sharp Pre-Construction Coordinator to play a critical part in the full project lifecycle. About the role: An exciting and career defining hybrid role that sits at the intersection of Estimating, Tendering and Contract Administration. The Pre-Construction Coordinator will play a critical part in the full project lifecycle, from initial cost plan and trade procurement, through to contract negotiation and final close-out. This position will 100% ensure that no day is the same, and the fortunate person to land this opportunity will be the conduit between the Sales, Project, and Commercial teams. About the key responsibilities: This position will involve, but not be limited to; Interpreting drawings/specs and delivering sharp, accurate quantity take-offs and cost plans Owning the tender process (preparing RFQs, evaluating subcontractor quotes, value-engineer, and securing the best value) Coordinating compliant tender submissions Drafting and negotiating subcontracts and POs Tracking budgets, forecasts and cash flow Maintaining contract registers Driving continuous improvement of cost libraries, databases, & procurement systems Supporting flawless project handovers through meticulous close-out processes and final accounts About you: You have experience in commercial construction – fit-out, refurb or similar You have a strong background in estimating and/or contract admin (ideally both) You are a proactive communicator with a sharp eye for commercial risk and value You are confident in end-to-end tendering, procurement, contract delivery, and reporting You have relevant qualifications in Construction, QS, Engineering, or Architecture You are hungry to succeed, make your mark, and progress your career If you are the type of person who’s just as comfortable crunching estimates as you are locking in contracts then this is the role for you!
