We now have an exciting opportunity available for a Project Delivery Technician to join us in our Operations Delivery team in Dandenong on a fixed term basis for 12 months. Reporting to the Team Leader Operations Delivery, you will play a key role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation and improvement of plant and transmission pipeline systems managed by APA Group. Key Responsibilities Prepare, coordinate, and implement plans for new plant/equipment installations and modifications to enhance operational effectiveness and meet customer requirements Liaise with Engineers, System Controllers, Team Leaders, and other relevant personnel on plant modifications, including the development of project scope of works and budgets Review documentations, make recommendations on project scope and modifications, participate in review panels, and develop and modify technical specifications Assist with sourcing and procuring new plant, ensuring standardisation wherever possible Assist with APA’s insourcing project and support in ways to work with the SIB Team to Excavate and protect the pipelines for integrity inspections. Work with Team Leader and Project Engineers to review and deliver Project scope of works and asst with cost saving measures but ensuring the safety of the plant equipment and people Assist with managing allocated operational projects, ensuring they are completed within budget and on schedule, and provide comprehensive project status reports regularly Your background Mechanical trade or equivalent experience in transmission gas pipelines Have VOC for using Excavators and associated plan and machinery with the highest integrity Knowledge and experience working around gas pipelines and associated gas infrastructure Ability to competently use relevant computer applications Strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and a methodical approach to work Be a Team player and contribute to its success. About the Team The Operations Project Delivery team in looks after Stay in Business (SIB) projects across the Natural Gas pipeline assets in the Gas East Business. The team comprises of technicians with a mix of electrical & mechanical trades, and they work across the states of Victoria, NSW and Queensland, where APA has its gas asset footprint. Most of the work involves brown field construction work and relevant pipeline maintenance work.
