WHO YOU ARE An experienced roof plumber with 3 years in roofing installation and construction. Qualified with a Certificate IV in Roof Plumbing or equivalent (highly preferred). Licensed with White Card, High Risk Work license (HRW), Elevating Work Platform (EWP) license, Driver’s licence, and hold a National Police Clearance. Competent in Working at Heights and preferably trained in First Aid. Possess detailed technical knowledge of roofing materials, construction standards, installation techniques, repair methods, and maintenance. Skilled in interpreting project plans and specifications with strong attention to detail. Effective communicator with experience supervising teams and managing stakeholder interactions. Ability to mentor trades assistants and apprentices, promoting continuous learning and best practices. WHAT YOU'LL DO Follow plan specifications to install, maintain, and repair roofing and drainage systems according to company standards. Install and maintain gutters, downpipes, safety mesh, insulation, vapour barriers, roofing, cladding materials, and flashings. Fabricate roofing materials and shape metal sheeting and flashings as required. Interpret drawings and construction plans to determine materials and apply workflows. Work under supervision of Roofing Supervisor and Site Supervisors to plan and complete projects on time and within standards. Identify and escalate technical issues to supervisors promptly. Provide guidance and training to Apprentice Roof Plumbers and trades assistants, leading by example. Adhere strictly to Occupational Health, Safety and Environment (OHSE) requirements, including inductions, PPE, hazard reporting, and participation in toolbox meetings. Report incidents, injuries, safety hazards, and faulty tools to site management. Perform other duties within scope and experience as directed.
