Description About the Role We are seeking a proactive and detail-oriented Senior or Lead Electrical Engineer to join our growing team in Adelaide. This role offers the chance to apply your technical expertise while gaining exposure to a diverse range of industries and multi-disciplinary projects. As part of the team, you will: Lead and contribute to LV design from feasibility and concept studies to detailed design Lead and support LV power systems modelling and protection studies Develop and review electrical designs, drawings, and specifications for LV systems and equipment (technical specifications, datasheets, SLDs and schematics for MCCs, transformers, VSDs, instruments, distribution boards etc.). Solve complex engineering problems by breaking them down, identifying dependencies and stakeholders, and steering collaborative, compliant and fit for purpose solutions. Support construction and commissioning with technical input, testing, and documentation. Mentor and support junior engineers by sharing technical knowledge, providing guidance, checking and helping them develop strong engineering fundamentals. Interpret client requirements and support project delivery by preparing scopes of work, leading development of proposals and engineering estimates, and technical documentation. Skills And Experiences Desired Skills & Experience We’re looking for an engineer who combines strong technical ability with a collaborative, problem-solving mindset. The ideal candidate will bring: A minimum of 8 years’ experience in a similar electrical engineering role Solid experience in LV detailed design, ideally within sectors such as water, oil & gas, mining, defence, renewables and power generation. A sound understanding of relevant Australian Standards including AS/NZS 3000, AS/NZS 3008, and AS/NZS 3010, with knowledge of AS/NZS 60079.14 considered highly desirable. Knowledge and previous experience in design and specification of instrumentation and control systems is an advantage. Strong analytical and calculation skills, with the ability to translate technical challenges into practical, safe, and efficient solutions. Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with confidence in preparing technical reports and working effectively within a team. An Australian-recognised engineering degree that meets Engineers Australia membership requirements (Chartership support available).
