The Clinical Nurse provides advanced clinical care, coordination, and leadership in supporting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people with complex health needs. Working within a strengths-based, person-centred model, the role empowers clients to lead their own health journeys and promotes wellbeing through culturally safe, respectful, and evidence-based nursing practice. You will be part of a multidisciplinary team that includes a Nurse Navigator, Case Managers, and Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander Health Workers. Together, they deliver holistic care through outreach and home visits, ensuring that every client feels supported, respected, and heard. Key Responsibilities Deliver high-quality, culturally responsive nursing care that upholds the social, emotional, and cultural wellbeing of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples. Provide clinical leadership and mentoring to other nurses and health professionals. Use advanced assessment, planning, and case management skills to support chronic disease management and care coordination. Participate in education, research, and continuous quality improvement initiatives. Work collaboratively with Elders, community representatives, and partner organisations to improve health outcomes for First Nations Peoples. About You To thrive in this role, you will demonstrate: Advanced clinical skills in Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander health and chronic disease management. Strong leadership and mentoring capabilities. Ability to work autonomously and collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team. Deep understanding of cultural safety, community engagement, and person-centred care. Excellent communication skills to build trust and maintain strong relationships with clients and families. Current registration as a Registered Nurse with the Nursing and Midwifery Board of Australia (NMBA). Bachelor of Nursing (or equivalent).
