About us The Department of Government Services (DGS) was established on 1 January 2023 to improve everyone's experience of doing business and interacting with the Victorian government. We bring important day-to-day services together in one department to make things easy and seamless for Victorians and businesses. We are doing this by connecting and digitising our systems and platforms across state and local government as well as streamlining our corporate and procurement services. About the role The Business Services team objectives are to align the RTS' strategic initiatives with its continuous improvement opportunities as well as to provide ongoing quality assurance. The unit is responsible for small and medium project management, IT system upgrades, business processes, procurement, contract management, quality control systems, web content management, and liaison with and provision of assistance and advice to Victoria's indigenous communities. The Project Manager will develop and successfully manage RTS projects in line with RTS strategy and is responsible for the creation and maintenance of business cases for RTS projects to ensure the delivery of clear business values. The position may also be required to work in and contribute to other projects in CAV. Key Accountabilities include Develop and successfully manage RTS projects in line with RTS strategy. Develop and prepare project documentation to manage improvement and service delivery projects, in accordance with the CAV project framework. Manage stakeholder engagement and input into projects and lead project support staff. Manage project teams to deliver systems developments and related process and change management. Is future oriented in analysis, thought and action; actively seeks out new technology to enhance team systems, processes and service delivery. Undertakes planning to ensure the organisation is future ready through managing change. Other requirements Experience managing large-scale projects in a regulatory and legislative environment (highly desirable). A relevant tertiary qualification would be highly regarded.
