Senior Mechanic Location: Brisbane QLD Hours: Monday to Friday, 4:00 PM start (38 hours per week) Pay: $42–$46 per hour super (based on experience) Employment Type: Permanent Are you an experienced Heavy Vehicle Mechanic looking for a stable, long-term opportunity with a respected transport and logistics operation? We’re seeking a Senior Mechanic to join a well-established maintenance team in Hemmant, supporting a large and modern fleet of trucks and trailers. About the Role Reporting to the Workshop Manager, you’ll be responsible for maintaining and servicing heavy vehicles and trailers, including side loaders. This position suits someone who takes pride in their workmanship, has strong diagnostic ability, and enjoys working in a supportive, team-oriented environment. Key Responsibilities Carry out servicing, repairs, and preventative maintenance on trucks and trailers Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical and electrical issues Assist in coordinating workshop workflow when required Maintain accurate service and maintenance records Work safely and in line with company and WHS procedures What We’re Looking For Trade Qualified (Light or Heavy Vehicle) Mechanic (Certificate III or equivalent) Solid experience working on trucks and trailers (Kenworth, Volvo, or similar) Excellent diagnostic and fault-finding skills Ability to work autonomously and lead by example Current driver’s licence (HR desirable) Reliable transport and willingness to work afternoon shift (4 PM start) What’s on Offer Permanent, full-time role with a well-established business Hourly rate between $42–$46 super (depending on experience) Consistent afternoon shift – Monday to Friday, 38 hours per week Supportive and professional team culture Genuine long-term stability and growth opportunities If you’re ready to take the next step in your career and want to join a company that values safety, teamwork, and quality, apply now!
